the programme organisers congratulated the team on an excellent syposium, the first of its kind at the American Society of Tropical Medicine & Hygeine Meeting this year. 5 excellent presentations were given to a multidisciplinary audience of about 70 tropical disease scientists and physicians. Sharing with other Neglected Tropical Disease groups was mutually beneficial and it was clear that many attending were not previously aware of this disease in any great depth.
